The classic Bibendum armchair - the original!
The famous Bibendum armchair was designed already as early as 1929 by Eileen Gray for ClassiCon.
The ClassiCon Bibendum armchair features an absolutely unique appearance. Nowhere in design history will you find an armchair resembling this one.
Despite its size (WxHxD 90 x 73 x 83 cm) it shows fascinating harmony. It combines majestic presence with charms and esprit like no other chair. Eileen Gray emphasized the characteristics of her beloved parlour chair, the Bibendum armchair, with witty irony by naming it after the Michelin tire-man, whose shape is quoted in the armchair's design.
